Dr. Colleen Fisher obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (with distinction) in 1990 from the University of Saskatchewan. She moved to Brandon in January 2015 and is happy to be working with such a compassionate, professional staff and great clients. She has been caring for police canines and other working dogs in Manitoba since 1997. Her other special interests include internal medicine, dentistry and senior wellness.
Dr. Fisher has been a long-time volunteer with the Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association. Her dedication to transparent communication and strong veterinarian-client relationships are the foundation for her work with the Peer Review Committee of the MVMA. She and her husband, Sean, have three sons between them. Maisey, their long-haired Weimaraner, is the source of much joy and comedy at home. Dr. Fisher’s recreational time is spent renovating their house, staining the furniture her husband builds, writing, and hiking or snowshoeing with the family and Maisey.
